Please note, this is a standard code of behavior and specific rules for all slaves who spend time in the Tavern. If there is a particular rule that violates the restrictions placed on ~collared~ slaves, please have your Owner contact Lady Solveig or Axel Caden for clarification. These rules are subject to change without notice. Please check back often if you have questions.
Again, if there are questions, please contact Lady Solveig or Axel Caden for clarification.
- The Tavern does not exist for the entertainment or "social R&R" of slaves. Barring extraordinary circumstances, upon entering the Tavern, slaves will, after a reasonable observation period (no more than 5 minutes after greetings are completed), approach and offer service to any Free Person who does not appear to have a slave already serving them. If there are no Free to serve, slaves will ask an OP how they may serve the Tavern. Until released from service, under no circumstances will a slave simply "hang out" in the Tavern. Violations of this rule will be swiftly and immediately punished.
- BDSM "Brat" or brat-like behavior will not be tolerated. This is Gor. Any slave (male or female) who exhibits these sort of attention-mongering behaviors will be asked to leave, or will be punished, at Op discretion. We recognize that slaves crave the attention of the Free, and there are appropriate methods of begging for attention. Biting, slobbering on, or otherwise annoying the hell out of the Free in the hopes of getting attention out of it are not appropriate. Use common sense and avoid a visit to the whipping post, or worse. When one who is a slave strikes a free person the penalty is not infrequently death by impalement, preceded by lengthy torture.
Assassin of Gor - Page 74 - Gorean slaves are by nature passionate creatures. However, as a courtesy to the Free Women who often frequent the Tavern, overtly sexual activities are to be kept to the Alcoves.
- If you are new to Gor, add an "-obs" to the end of your nick/screen name, and contact an Op. We are happy to work with you, but Gorean protocols and behaviour are expected of *everybody* in the Tavern.
- All Free Persons are to be addressed as Master/Jarl or Mistress/Lady. If you are unsure of the gender, do a /whois to try to determine. If you still can not guess, use "Master", and apologize if you guess wrong. We do not care if you are "Not Gorean". You are in a Gorean Home. When in Rome...
- If there are no Free Persons requiring service, use the time to clean, cook, sew, practice dance, or some other useful activity. If you need suggestions, PM an OP. Conversation can be considered "useful", as long as you do not fail to note when other service is required, and you remember your place. Slaves exist on Gor to *enhance* the lives of the Free. You are not here to be entertained. If that is what you are looking for, please move along. I believe the next Tarn to DisneyGor is leaving in 5 ehn...
- Slaves on Gor are vibrant, interesting creatures. Most slaves work very hard to serve with flair and creativity. Any slave caught plagiarizing another's work will be severely punished (and their Owner notified, if applicable).
- Goreans are not infallible, even the Free. If you believe a Free Person to be in error on something, ask to speak to them privately. Respect is paramount, and this is not an opportunity to show off your list of memorized quotes. If you have an issue that can not be resolved, speak to an Op.
- Slaves are NOT required to give out personal information (name/address/contact number/email/etc.). If anybody tries to force this information from you, contact an Op. (See a trend yet?)
- We recognize the uniquely Earthen issue of "unowned slaves". Although not precisely a Gorean concept, the Tavern recognizes that it is possible for a person to identify as a slave and not be collared. Please note: If you are unowned and wish to enter or serve in the Tavern, you are welcome to do so, however you will serve naked. You do not have an Owner to provide you clothing. Rags and cast-off garments are not acceptable attire. Bathing tubs are available for any wandering slaves who need them.
